Picture-in-picture
Can I pop this video out of the page?
Picture-in-picture is a browser feature that most sites either hide behind their own player chrome or disable outright. This lists the video elements the page actually contains and hands the one you pick to the browser’s own API - the same window you would get from the native control, on a page that never offered one.

What this actually is
any video on the page popped into the browser’s floating windowFollowing a talk or a stream while working, and on any player whose own controls have quietly removed the button. It also names videos that are on the page but not visible, which is occasionally the more interesting reading.
Asked about this tool
4 of themIt cannot find the video on this page. Why?
Because it is inside a cross-origin iframe - a third-party embed. The document inside that frame belongs to another origin and nothing on this side can reach into it.
Does it bypass a site that disabled the feature?
No. A video carrying `disablePictureInPicture` is refused by the browser, not by us, and the panel reports the refusal rather than hiding the row.
Does the video keep playing if I navigate away?
That is the browser’s window and the browser’s behaviour - usually yes, until the tab that owns the video is closed.
Can it pop out something that is not a video?
No. Document picture-in-picture is a different capability with different consequences, and this tool is about the `<video>` elements the page already has.
